Highdaddy -
I sincerely sympathize with you. I had been suffering for years with a nerve problem in my neck/upper back, and was treated with muscle relaxing meds, all kinds of physical therapy, chiropractic, etc, etc....all with little success.
Three acupuncture sessions cured me and I've been pain free for 10 years.
It's important to find either a Korean or Chinese acupuncturist - they know how to cure this problem..
Good luck to you...OB

why is this post in the rubber room? Worse topics have survived above there. To answer your question, acupuncture and physical therapy are the way to go. Avoid the surgeon at all costs, none of them know how to operate on a back

Stretching and riding an excercise bike may help. It is a tedious routine to try and find fixes for these nerves when they get in jams. I am with you though in that surgery is the absolute last option.
